The Fool is the first card of the deck and the spirit of adventure. 0 is neither positive or negative but empty in a sense waiting to be filled. The Fool in this picture takes risks and has no cares as he is about to step off the cliff. He has much to learn and no past or baggage (as shown by his small backpack over his shoulder). The message here is to embrace the new beginning and to step out and take a risk and trust that the universe will support and protect you. A major step in life's journey is about to start. The spirit of adventure, spontaneity and freedom.
