Meaning of The Empress Card 3

The Empress  looks very majestic with her crown, sceptre and throne. The grain in the field shows she has power in nature and fertility and productivity in general. She is Venus ruled and is a symbol of productivity, fertility, growth and development. The Empress represents the mothering instinct and can indicate pregnancy, birth and matters relating to children in a reading. Also romance, creativity, art and culture. She can represent new ideas forming (symbolised by the pomegranates on her gown). Be receptive to change and rewards for your efforts are coming. Security, a sense of well being and contentment  are indicated. A happy home environment. Three is the number of creativity. What higher source of creative energy is there than two people creating a child (no 3).

Reversed:

Insecurity, domestic problems, sometimes difficulty with pregnancy or fertility.
