Knight of Pentacles

Introduction to The Knights in the Minor Arcana.

The Knights are sometimes called Princes in some decks but they usually do depict men on horseback. In a spread they represent young men and sometimes situations in which movement, progress and activity are featured just as the horse represents transport. As people, Knights are highly action-oriented – more so than the Pages.

Knight of Pentacles This young man is kind, dependable, gentle, practical and loyal. He leads a quiet and simple life. He is diligent, hardworking and responsible but not overly intelligent. He can be a bit mundane and conservative but will work hard to achieve his goals with perseverance. He is the only Knight who appears stationary on his horse contemplating his next action. This is symbolic of this knight’ s caution and care. He doesn’t rush. His progress is slow and plodding but diligent and persevering. He will be hardworking, stable and solid in both character and physically. He is most likely to have dark hair, eyes and olive or tanned skin. Often this Knight represents earth sign men or men with these qualities e.g Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn.

Situation As a situation when this knight appears in a spread life may seem like it is going very slowly at the moment. You may as well relax and enjoy the time as it wont last. Progress will be slow and steady but you will get there eventually. Approach any problems with a careful, thought out plan of action
