The Minor Arcana - Meaning of Ace of Wands
Good morning everyone. Back to the cards today! The Minor Arcana – (little secrets) – everyday matters of the physical world. The minor Arcana are also called the Pip cards. There are 40 numbered cards. In contrast to The Major Arcana which tend to show experiences of a spiritual nature and forces of fate and destiny beyond our control the Minor Arcana Cards represent ordinary events in the client's life and personal feelings about those events. The more minor Arcana in a spread the more influence our own actions can have in the way energies manifest and the how the events play out.. I will be focusing on the number value of the cards and then how to apply this to the suits. The Aces – Number 1 in any suit. The beginning or start of something. The initial stage The Ace of each suit represents the full and undivided energy and power of the element it is associated with. The Ace of wands represents Fire; The Ace of Cups represents water, The Ace of swords represents Air and the Ace of Coins represents earth. The Aces are the first card in each suit so they also represent new beginnings or the beginning of something: inspiration, projects, new ideas and new starts. Starting with the Ace of Wands Remember Wands relates to the element fire and is a positive (or extroverted) kind of energy Being of the element fire it stands for inspiration, intuition, new ideas and concepts, ambition, excitement, initiative and enthusiasm. In this suit it is often associated with new projects in business or career. Creative ideas and intellectual plans are more associated with this Ace than practical or financial. Although the benefits of this action and energy often results in rewards both financial and practical! Reversed There are many ways to interpret reversed cards. All of them have validity and I am usually guided by what comes to me. I usually relate reversed meanings to delay, the opposite meaning, diminishment of the power of the upright position, inner expression of the energy rather than outward visible effect, misused or misdirection of the energy of the upright position.
The Ace of Wands reversed could be interpreted as the creative energy being misdirected when reversed and seems to be weak or drained in some way. There may be wasted energy, frustrations and confusion about where to start projects or how to come up with new ideas. If the Ace reversed turns up in a spread you may feel unproductive and uninspired. You need to organise yourself more efficiently and decide what you really want to achieve. There could also be delays in projects and difficulty getting new plans off the ground.
Have a great day! Dont forget to select a card a day at the beginning of the day. I will repost about that. Enjoy its Friday🏵️♥️🙂
